Pompous people
Years ago I started noticing how pompous people disliked laughter
There is something about laughter that destroys hierarchy. So
people, who are trying to show they are more important than
others, can’t maintain their attempt at superiority in a humorous
atmosphere
When we laugh with someone we suddenly become two equal human
beings enjoying the absurdities of life together
Humour is a democratising force in our lives
We should encourage humorous atmospheres, and mistrust anyone
who is trying to suppress our laughter
